What this covers
NISA MED is a medication reminder and adherence organization app for the United States, plus this website. Read this policy with the Terms of Use and the Medical Disclaimer.
NISA MED is not a medical provider, pharmacy, or emergency service. This policy is not a notice of privacy practices under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. NISA MED does not claim to be a HIPAA-covered entity or a business associate.
During Early Access this website does not take payment and does not collect card numbers.
Your account
Sign-in uses Firebase Authentication, a Google service. On this website you can create an account or sign in with email and password, or with Google. The email and credentials you submit are sent to Firebase Authentication so the account can be created, protected, and used again. This website does not store your password.
The website account is not a second copy of your medication list. Medication records are kept in the app, not on these pages.
Medication records
This website does not ask for, collect, or store medication names, dosages, schedules, dose history, or refill counts.
In the app, those records are stored on the device. NISA MED does not provide automatic cloud syncing of medication data, and this website does not keep a medication database. If you change phones, this website cannot restore the medication list, because it never received it.
The Android app source is not in this website project, so this draft does not claim an independent audit of every network call the app might make. What this site can state is that it does not receive or host that medication record, and it does not add analytics or advertising that collect health information about visitors.
Family Care, history, and reports
Family profiles, dose history, adherence reports, and refill counts are part of the on-device record. A relationship label is optional. A family profile is not a separate sign-in for that person.
Notifications say “Time to take your medication” and “Tap to view your medication.” They do not show the medication, the dosage, or a family member’s name. When Voice Reminders are on, the spoken line is “It’s time for your medication,” and it does not speak those details either.
A PDF or share sheet you create is a copy you control. This website does not keep a library of those exports.
Support email
Help requests go to support@nisamed.com. Do not include medication names, dosages, conditions, or other medical details. A message you send is not added to a medication record, and this website does not store a copy of that email.
Firebase and hosting
Two different things are true. Medication content stays on the device and is not stored by this website. Sign-in and website delivery do use service providers.
Firebase Authentication processes the credentials and identifiers needed to create, sign in, secure, and delete the account. This website is prepared for Firebase Hosting. Hosting a site can involve technical request data such as an IP address and the time of a request. The exact logs Google keeps for those services were not re-audited for this draft. They are not a copy of your medication schedule.
NISA MED does not use Firebase as a cloud database for medication names, dosages, schedules, dose history, or refill counts.
Sharing, sales, and advertising
Information is shared only as needed to run sign-in and website hosting, to reply to email sent to support@nisamed.com, when you export or share a report yourself, or when the law requires disclosure to prevent fraud, abuse, or harm.
NISA MED does not sell personal information. It does not use medication content for targeted advertising, and this website does not include third-party advertising. Family profile details are not published and are not placed in notification text.
Retention, deletion, and uninstalling
On-device medication records remain until you delete them in the app, delete the account, clear the app’s data, or uninstall the app. This website has no server copy of that record to restore.
You can delete the account in the app. Deletion removes the Firebase Authentication account and the medication records stored on that device for the account. It does not delete a PDF you already exported or a message you already sent somewhere else.
Uninstalling the app removes the on-device record from that phone. Uninstalling does not, by itself, delete the authentication account. Clearing app data has the same split: the local record can be gone while the sign-in account still exists.
Security
Sign-in is protected through Firebase Authentication, and this website is intended to be served over HTTPS. Medication records on the phone also depend on your screen lock and who can use the unlocked device.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. NISA MED does not guarantee that unauthorized access, device loss, or a service-provider failure will never happen.
Age
You must be at least 18 to create an account. The service is not directed to children as account holders. An adult may enter medication information for a family profile, including a child in the household. That entry stays on the device. It is not a separate child account. If you believe someone under 18 created an account, email support@nisamed.com. Do not include medication details.
U.S. state privacy rights
Depending on where you live in the United States, you may have a right to request access, correction, or deletion, to appeal a denial, or to opt out of sale or targeted advertising. NISA MED does not sell personal information and does not use medication content for targeted advertising.
Email support@nisamed.com. Include the email on the account. Do not include medication names or dosages. We may need to confirm that you control the account. Some information may be kept when the law allows or requires it, including security logs. We will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request.
Because medication records are on your device, deleting them is done in the app, by clearing app data, or by uninstalling. A request to this website cannot delete a record that was never sent here.
NISA MED is directed to users in the United States. If you use the website from another country, sign-in and hosting may be processed in the United States and in other places where Google operates Firebase. Those places may have different privacy laws.
Changes
This policy can be updated by posting a new version on this page with a new effective date. If an app update changes where medication records are stored, that change should be described before it applies.
Contact
